Upon arrival in Siem Reap International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver and then transfer you to hotel for check in.
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to visit the old town of King Jayavarman VII, the famous and powerful king in the late 12th Century. The city is call Krong Angkor Thom, the town of Khmer including the temples such as South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple complex, Terraces of Elephants, Terrace of Leper King and Former Royal Palace. Continue to visit the temple of Ta Prohm, the only one temple which has kept its original state, to be the example of how most of the temples in Angkor would look like at the time they were discovered. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, see one of the new Seven Wonders, the world heritage and the masterpiece of the world– the Angkor Wat Temple. It was built by King Suryavarman II in the middle of the 12th century over a period of 30 years. It has nearly two thousand Apsaras carving on the wall with different gestures, dresses and hairstyles. Dinner at a local restaurant with traditional Apsara dance show. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast in hotel. Morning tour to enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. Then move to visit Les Artisans D’ Angkor and see their stone and wood carving workshops where artisans are taught to use traditional Khmer techniques. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, free time for shopping at the Old Market, Angkor Duty Free Store and T-Galleria. Then free 1 hour foot or body massage before transfer to dinner at local restaurant. After dinner, transfer to airport for return flight.
